HOW TO WALK CONFIDENTLY IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD EVERYDAY!

Have you ever felt like you’re drifting away from God? Maybe you’re going through a tough season, and it feels like you’ve lost your connection to Him. Or perhaps you’re just going through the motions and not feeling as close to God as you’d like. We all have moments when we feel distant from God, but the good news is that we can always come back to Him. Walking confidently in His presence every day is not only possible, but it’s also essential if we want to live a fulfilling life.

In the Bible, we see how people like David, Paul, and Esther walked confidently in God’s presence, even during difficult circumstances. They relied on Him for strength, guidance, and wisdom, and He never let them down. So, how can we walk confidently in God’s presence every day? It starts with making time for Him, reading His Word, and seeking His guidance in prayer. It means surrendering our plans and desires to Him and trusting that He knows what’s best for us.

Why it’s essential to have confidence in your faith

Having confidence in your faith is essential for living a fulfilling Christian life. Hebrews 10:35-36 reminds us not to throw away our confidence, as it brings great rewards and helps us endure trials. Philippians 4:13 tells us that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. Confidence in our faith enables us to share the Gospel with others. As Romans 1:16 states, the Gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. Ultimately, confidence in our faith allows us to live with purpose, secure in the knowledge that God loves and values us.

Know who you are in Christ

Understanding your identity in Christ is the key to understanding how to walk confidently in the presence of God. It means God created you for a purpose and that you are deeply loved and valued by Him. To discover your identity in Christ, spend time reading the Bible and meditating on God’s Word. Look for passages about who you are in Christ, such as 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” When you understand your identity in Christ, you can confidently face challenges and difficulties, knowing that you are a child of God and that He is with you every step of the way.

Make time for Prayer and Bible study

Making time for prayer and Bible study is critical to developing a strong and confident walk with God. To get started, set aside regular time each day to spend with God. This may involve waking up earlier, turning off your phone or other distractions, and finding a quiet place to focus on God’s Word. As you read the Bible, ask God to reveal his truth and wisdom to you. You can also use a devotional book or reading plan to guide your study and reflection. Remember that prayer is a two-way conversation with God, so make sure to take time to listen as well as speak. As you pray, be honest and vulnerable with God, sharing your struggles, fears, and hopes with him. In addition to personal study time, consider joining a small group or Bible study to connect with other believers and learn from one another. Finally, be patient with yourself and trust that God will continue to reveal himself to you through your prayer and study time. As Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” By prioritizing prayer and Bible study, you can deepen your relationship with God and find confidence in your faith.

Surround yourself with positive influences

Surrounding yourself with positive influences is crucial to building confidence in your faith. One way to do this is by connecting with other believers who share your values and beliefs. This may involve joining a church or faith-based community group where you can find friendship, support, and accountability. It’s also important to be intentional about the people you spend time with and the media you consume. Seek books, podcasts, and other resources that align with your values and help strengthen your faith. In addition, be mindful of the music, movies, and TV shows you watch, as they can have a powerful impact on your thoughts and emotions. Finally, guard your heart and mind against negative influences and temptations. As it says in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” By surrounding yourself with positive influences and guarding your heart, you can build a strong foundation for your faith and find confidence in your walk with God.

Serve others

Serving others is an essential component of strengthening one’s faith. In Matthew 25:34-40, Jesus tells us that whatever we do for the least of our brothers and sisters, we do for him. This means that when we serve others, we are serving God. Serving others helps us to put the needs of others before our own and to live out the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). It also provides us with opportunities to demonstrate selflessness, kindness, and humility, which are essential qualities for all Christians.

There are many practical ways to find opportunities to serve others in our communities. For example, volunteering at a local charity, participating in a community service project, or even reaching out to help someone in need are all ways to serve others. However, it’s important to remember that serving others isn’t just about doing good deeds but building relationships and showing God’s love to others. By intentionally helping others, we can make a real difference in our communities and the world.

As we seek to serve others, we must approach each opportunity with humility and a willingness to learn and grow. We shouldn’t seek to serve others for recognition or personal gain but to reflect God’s love and be his hands and feet in the world. By making helping others a regular part of our lives, we can deepen our connection with God and find joy in following his example of selflessness and service.

Keep your eyes on the prize

Focusing on God and his promises is essential to deepening our faith and finding strength and comfort during times of struggle. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” This verse reminds us that by focusing on Jesus, we can endure hardship and find joy in our faith.

There are many practical ways to stay focused on our faith during a struggle. One way is to prioritize prayer and study of the Bible, allowing ourselves to be nourished by God’s word and seeking his guidance and comfort through prayer. Worshiping with others and participating in a faith community can provide valuable support and encouragement during difficult times. It’s also essential to cultivate a positive mindset and to focus on God’s promises rather than our circumstances. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” We can find hope and strength in our relationship with him by trusting in God’s goodness and faithfulness, even in the midst of hardship.

We encourage you to apply these tips to your everyday lives, seeking out opportunities to serve others, expressing gratitude for God’s blessings, and staying grounded in your faith through prayer and Bible study. As we do, remember that our confidence comes not from our strength but our faith in God and his promises. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” By trusting in God’s strength and grace, we can find confidence in our walk with him, knowing that he is always with us and will never leave us or forsake us.
